GULF OIL DISASTER
CALLING ALL ALPACA FARMERS

With the current oil spill disaster in the gulf and right in our own
backyards, I thought this may be the perfect opportunity for Florida farms
to really get involved!

I have contacted the Sunshine and Shores Foundation in Destin Florida and we
are now a drop farm for any fleece that is donated for the help of the clean
up in the Gulf.  This amazing group in making "floats" from pantyhose (over
100,000 pairs donated by Hanes Company) and filling them with fleece, fur
and hair.  It is estimated that one pound of dog hair can soak up one quart
of oil in one minute. Imagine what alpaca fleece can do!

CALLING ALL FABA MEMBERS & ALPACA FARMERS - Send us your old fleece, 2nd's, 3rd's,
throwaway, short, long or anything in between, please just shake out the sand and
send it or drop it off to us!

You can drop off your fleece at our farm or any local alpaca farm near you.  We will be taking
fleeces to its final destination and we will be collecting fleece at The Camelid Seminar.

If you would like to be involved in this to Save our Coasts and Environment and our childrens
future, contact us below...
