Always follow your pattern, good rule of thumb is you purchase more then the pattern calls for. For example, if you pattern calls for 4 skeins of 110 yards of yarn. Then you would purchase 5 skeins. Always pay close attention to how many yards are in a skein. All yarn is different, some will say 110 yards and 240 yards. The weight of the yarn is important also. A thick yarn will be less yardage where a thin yarn will be more yardage. |
